Meet Nicole

I started Darn Good Yarn® when I discovered recycled silk yarn. I was instantly transfixed. At the time, I was a new knitter. I loved how it hid my mistakes and gave my project this organic look that was full of color. It wasn’t long before I discovered that the people who made this yarn desperately needed a way to make a stable and safe living.

Since 2008, Darn Good Yarn® has saved over 2 million pounds of material waste and turned it back into our crafting and clothing products; we have served as a bridge between our 600+ artisans around the globe and our customers; and we’ve worked hard with our supplier network to create safe and sustainable jobs that are truly Darn Good™.

These Darn Good Yarn Subscription boxes are quite the deal! Each one catered especially for the month and chock full of the prettiest and easy to work with yarn along with a gift and patterns. There is also an option to skip a month or put a “Hold” on your subscription. Plus, once the. Option was put before me, i realized it couldn’t be more perfect than to sign up for 2 YOTM boxes per month. That insures you have enough yarn (6 skeins) to make something really cool.

The yarn of the month box is a great deal! Three balls of yarn, patterns, info and a bonus item! This time it was a Shawl pin! Love it all! Love that it’s enough yarn to do something bigger with and comes with suggested patterns!

I look forward to these coming every month. I wanted some blue and the color this month was blue. I wish there was an option that I could only get 1 ball a month or that I could get 3 different ones because everything I make is tiny. I haven't cancelled it yet though because I love working with this yarn so much.
