So she started with this one student and taught them how to knit on a DIY loom using a tin can and popsicle sticks.

In one year this group has grown to 100 kids.

The kids now teach each other as new ones join in. The Calming Room is a classroom filled with materials where these kids can... you guessed it... get calm. Sounds like heaven right?!

This particular school is in a HIGHLY impoverished inner city. So to give these kids healthy tools to improve their mental wellness is an amazing life-long gift.

I'm working on a large knit and crochet wrap/blanket incorporating the 7 traditional chakras. These 8 packages gave me inspiration with their great colors, fibers, crystals and sayings. I haven't finished the design and it will likely be a long time before it's finished, but being able to look at what I'm working with gives me great joy.
