Cactus Amigurumi
7/28/20
Advisory for casting on: If you don’t use a circular cast-on and pull it tight, the 6 sts do form a sort of flat disk. Pull the tail and the assembly gets more three dimensional.
When you do the next three rounds, the assembly starts to cup if your cast-on was tight. If your cast-on wasn't tight enough, the working piece won’t cup and it just looks flat.

Round 5 is correctly written but the stitch count is 30, not 24
Round 6 is 24 sts the “sk 1 st” tells us this is the round where the decreases start
Round 7 is back down to 18
Round 8 brings you back down to 12. It forms a small ball-like shape.
