Spice market is my favorite yarn from DGY because it's got such a beautiful array of vibrant colors! No two are the same and the even within the ball the colors and tones change making for a very unique project. One of the balls unravelled some in my bag but that ends up showing how unique each one is! The yarn has a beautiful shine to it as well. I will say that you should definitely try to avoid letting it unravel too much(like me) because the twist of the recycled silk means it likes to twist up on itself some. Can't wait to make something new with these!
This yarn is incredible. The colors drive me crazy. ðŸ˜
Awesome! Thank you for sharing with us your feedback about your order!:heart_decoration::purple_heart:-Claudia
I've had a notification set up for this yarn for a while, as it looked so beautiful and there are a lot of neat things that I want to try. So I jumped at it when I got the email that it was back in stock. What I received, however, was not Spice Market cakes but Ribbon Yarn in the spice market colorway. -.- I understand that confusion can happen in the warehouse but I was pretty irritated. Customer Service to the rescue and I received my proper Spice Market cakes (and they let me keep the Ribbon Yarn.)The color variations of this yarn fascinate me, and it always amuses me when Alyssa has found a pair that are similar in exterior color... because there's no promise of how well the interiors are going to match up! But because of its varied nature, adding on a new cake to keep going is not much of an abrupt change. The yarn is so soft and the fuzzies give it a nice texture. I can't wait to find more ideas for crafting with this as it has become one of my favorites and I keep collecting it.

I bought more Spice Market recycled silk yarn for the second "Moment of Zen" shawl that I'm making because my adult daughter loved the one I made for myself. The bright colors coordinate well with a number of colors of the worsted woolen yarn that the pattern calls for. Love this yarn!
This is gorgeous stuff, the color changes are dramatic and it is very bright. Only drawback is the difference in thickness with some color and being barely more than thread and others nearly bulky. It took some trial and error to find a stitch that worked and a crochet hook size that could do the whole thing. As a whole, the finished scarf used two balls of spice market and it is gorgeously colored and bright.
